1st stop: 10:00 AM Boettler Park 5300 Massillon Road is home to the historic 1885 Lichtenwalter one room schoolhouse. With the support of the City of Green and numerous non-profit donors as well as resident donors, the restoration of this one hundred twenty-five year old structure would have never happened. The building is currently used by the Green Local School system and its elementary school classes. The Historic Preservation Commission works closely with Green schools in developing the curriculum to be used for these elementary school classes. Tour guide / host: CAROL

2nd stop: 2:00 PM “Lake Center” Schoolhouse #12 1101 Lake Center Street GREENTOWN, OH was originally established circa 1850. The building is described as vernacular with Greek revival elements. It was added to the National Registry in 1976. Our Ohio Bicentennial (2003) project of restoring the one-room schoolhouse at the corner of King Church and Lake Center Street has been completed. Many thanks to everyone who volunteered their time, donated materials, and made financial contributions. Over 20 contractors and suppliers donated material, labor or both toward the restoration project. Tour guide / host: PHYLLIS
